Yeah there's no need to explain it. They should've left it at, "That may not be an exact number". Or put an asterisk next to 28.3 and then at the bottom have small print that says, "* Number is approximate, may vary".
When it comes to 28-3 jokes the subtler the better. If we see those three numbers in that sequence then we automatically associate it with the falcon's epic meltdown. It's the gift that keeps on giving. I'm sure falcon people would love for the world to move on and let the 28-3 stuff go but that just isn't going to happen.
