This is a pic of a short faced bear. They are extinct now. Their Kodiak and Polar cousins can approach nearly the same
size. Yeah we can outfight this.

If I remember correctly, it's believed that humans are a big reason for their extinction. Not for food, but for self-preservation.

I'm too lazy to check on that though.
