He was out of bounds....he was inbounds......the clock was stopped.....the clock should have been running.....JW should have seen the clock was stopped.....someone should have told him it was stopped......None of that matters. The fact is that it is not physically possible to spike the ball while the clock is stopped. Is there some rule saying that the clock remains stopped for half a second after the ball is snapped? For a full second? I don't think so. The ref's explanation is that JW spiked the ball while the clock was stopped.....therefore intentional grounding.....not possible....at all. Ball is snapped, clock runs.....what's so hard about that?
