End of game mistakes by coaches

#1: Winston downing the ball after the Jarvis Landry catch was a huge mistake. I know us fans didn't catch that but in the " fog of war" the coaches have to be aware that the clock wasn't running.

#2: After the Juwan Johnson catch, prior to the Lutz game winning FG the Saints rushed to the line and downed the ball with :23 seconds on the clock. The Falcons had 3 timeouts. There is no reason to rush to the line to down the ball. You have to make the Falcons use one of their timeouts. The Falcons got the ball back with :19 seconds and 3 timeouts and only needing 30 to 35 yards to get into FG range.

Regarding #2, we also had a chance of converting that 3rd down and making our own field goal attempt significantly shorter. Instead, we downed the ball on 3rd down. It was a mistake on both levels: time management & down management.

Those were huge game management mistakes. The first one is a bit more understandable than the second one, as the refs contributed to the mistake. But regardless, DA has to be better in those moments. It will eventually cost us wins.
