Yeah these long term models don’t track the fronts. Until it forms everything is just a guess.
They absolutely do. Doesnt mean it is right but it takes every imaginable variable ingested in the models to get them as accurate as they are.

Confidence is high that a hurricane will form somewhere South of Puerto Rico. After that I would take model guidance with a grain of salt but going off climo, it is very common for canes in that area to go on to make a US landfall.
