The idea that Elvish souls could dim is so far out of anything remotely like canon I'm shocked they actually approved it.

What’s confusing me is weren’t the options: a) stay and die b) get mithril stay and live c) go home? And wasn’t there some big to do about Galadriel “going home” in like episode 1? Or was that not the same place? Because in this scenario it seems like “go home” is a pretty clear winner if those are the same place.
