Sauron goes by Annatar—his fair form—instead of Halbrand. While he has a hand in helping Celebrimbor forge the other 16 Rings of Power, he does not directly help with the Three (similar to the show). The fact that he fled Eregion before assisting in making the other 16 Rings of Power leaves the door open as to how and when they will be made in season 2."
