Can't lie. If a bear was on my friend in front of me I would 100% jump in and TRY to help. Also, if I was in bear country I'd have a sidearm for exactly this reason.

As someone who has researched this extensively, having hiked/fished in grizzly bear territory multiple times you couldn’t be more wrong…..

Bear spray is your best chance of not getting mauled to death…..
