The Drunkest Cities in America

How in the name of all that is correct can Baton Rouge be 15th!!???????? I visited there last September on a Saturday when we visited New Orleans & there was nobody about. The place was dead & i think i saw only one bar just before you slope down to the river. No offense to anybody from Baton Rouge but what happened? Where was everybody?
Also it states above something about drinking more than 5 drinks in a regular sitting. I do this most weekends & can sometimes double that on Friday & Saturday nights. Will I live? Anybody else consume more than 5 at a session whether it be out on the Town or in front of the telly?

Sounds like you were just in Baton Rouge on a bad day. If I remember correctly you went to Baton Rouge the Saturday after the 9/23 Titans game. If so, LSU and Tulane were playing in the Superdome in New Orleans that weekend. Half the population of Louisiana was in the Superdome that day. That may be why Baton Rouge seemed like a ghost town when you were there.

Baton Rouge is a drinking town for sure. Especially during football season. The next time you visit us you need to go see a LSU game in Tiger Stadium. I am certain your opinion of Baton Rouge will change if you do. You will be completely blown away by all the partying going on outside the stadium. It's a beautiful site to behold. I hope to see you again either in Baton Rouge or in New Orleans next season.
Cheers!!.........:beerchug:!
