Gov. Bobby Jindal will meet with the secretary of the U.S. Air Force today at the Pentagon.

Jindal plans to talk to U.S. Air Force Secretary Michael Wynne about the permanent
location for a cyberspace command center, said Melissa Sellers, the governor’s press
secretary.

Louisiana is one of a number of states trying to land the project. Jindal recently
committed $50 million for infrastructure.

Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City is the temporary home for U.S. Air Force
Cyber Command, making state officials hopeful that Louisiana will be the center’s
permanent location.
