I tend to think she was somewhat a means to an end for him. That said, there was definitely some energy there in that last scene. I mean, I was like, you just saved her life, go ahead and kiss her, lol. Sometimes you gotta take the leap,, yeah.
I feel the opposite - she was his north star- she gave his fanaticism purpose and focus unlike everyone else is his work/life
Going forward I think they’ll be a pair (but not necessarily romantic), but one of them will get bit by the funeral speech/rebellion- one will spur of the Empire- probably Syril since he is the true believer. If he loses faith he’ll have to replace it quickly
