Not everyone.. when BG‘s name came up in a conversation with my boss a few months ago, he said to me , and i quote: “I hope she rots”…. He said he had a problem with the fact that she had spoken out against America previously .. so becuase this woman had less than an ounce of hash oil, and held different political beliefs than my boss- he believes that she deserves to do 10 years or more in a Russian gulag labor camp… and im guessing that he is far from the only person who thinks that way…. Granted, my boss is a filthy piece of human debris, but i am unfortunately not independently wealthy, and i need my job so i bit my tongue when he said that.. incidentally, after New Years i plan to start answering recruiters’ phone calls and make career a move, but for other reasons .

I never thought she should rot or do 9 years for such a ridiculous thing. All this does is further solidify the very popular view of American ignorance. American ignorance is a very popular belief in a lot of countries. She was a guest in their country, even if you're going there for a job. She had to know Russia isn't some paragon of excellence, any American goofing off there is gonna get the book thrown at them harder than the locals. I don't think she's very smart about the world outside of the USA, especially given the timing of her arrest. The reality of the situation is we're involved in a proxy war against Putin's regime which probably didn't help her at all.

I think her return home was inevitable but I don't like what we gave up inexchange for her. The Broncos no longer have made the worst trade in 2022. No matter how you slice it, that merchant of death is a horrible person.
