It's her right.

When I served in the military i was serving for the right to burn the flag. The right to stand for the flag doesn't need defending.
If someone sees a person or group being denied thier rights and equal treatment under the law that our armed forces have fought for... then kneeling to protest would seem to be in support of what so many have died for. Not "taking a stand" against tyranny at home and letting liberty die would seem to be an insult to those who have, and continue to, fight and die.
