Andy Dalton is PFF’s 2nd highest graded passer this season

Saints are 18th in dropped pass rate. The top 3 teams in that stat are the Bills, Dolphins, and Ravens. Those teams are 3rd, 9th, and 16th in scoring. We are 22nd.

Also, in terms of fumbles/game, the Dalton-led Saints would be 17th at 0.55/game. The top 3 teams average 0.83/game, but two of those three teams (Seahawks and Jaguars) rank higher in scoring than us (7th and 12th). The Colts are worse but they have an OL cosplaying as a coach.

In short, those excuses don’t stop other teams from putting up points and booking wins. And that’s ranking us 22nd in scoring without removing the Hill game.
Have you factored in our inability to cause turnovers? We're last in the league if I'm not mistaken. What about total possessions, total plays ran?
Dropped pass rate in the red zone, balls thrown in the end zone-drops?
I'm not taking up for Dalton, just stating facts.
Ingram getting the first down--TB GAME).......Our defense giving the Minnesota game away-3 defensive penalties that kept the drive going........Our defense giving away the Cincinnati game. We'd be 8-6 at this point with a stronghold on the division.
