It wasn't a show my wife and I thought we'd enjoy, either, and we ended up binge watching the entire series over a couple of months. The events are often ridiculously over-the-top and the writing is downright awful at times, but it sure can be entertaining.

Yeah, I definitely can see the negatives, but the rest is so well done in terms of entertainment, scenic settings and acting that those negatives are easily overlooked for us. That said, those negatives keep it from being GOAT type show. The potential was there for sure.
