Haha...she thinks Disneyland has blazing sun. That's cute. I went to Disneyland for the first time this past June...JUNE after years of going to Disney World. It was the most refreshing park experience ever. By 9pm I still had broken a sweat once. Compare that to Disney World where you're a sweaty mess before you even reach the rope drop.
Disney World is bigger and is able to offer more attractions, but Disneyland is such a better experience (last year was our 4th or 5th visit -- don't think I'll ever go back to Orlando).
Disneyland has all the main attractions, but much better weather, smaller crowds, and it's easier to get in and out of. You can stay at a non-Disney hotel and still walk to the park in ten minutes, and you can walk off the park to go eat lunch nearby and then come back -- there's even a Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles right down the road. And you're in southern California, so the weather is fantastic -- gets a little warm during the day, but then cools off in the evening.
