Derek Carr world tour thread (updated with combine visits)

They are in the AFC. Only top QB in the NFC is Hurts, Rodgers ain't it anymore and the best of the rest are good but not great. Carr can come in and immediately be in that pack. If it was Dalton holding back Carmichael's scheme then it's possible Carr can separate from the likes of Goff, Stafford, Daniels and Murray.

Carr can change plays at the line, he can call protection instead of McCoy (which is insanely underrated), make all the throws instead of dinking and dunking, he's an actual QB.
Yeah this is an interesting one. Payton and Carmichael have both said through the years they don't want a QB that just runs the play called. They want their QB to change the play or aspects of the play to what the defense is showing.

David Carr said that the reason Derek and McDaniels didn't fit together is because Derek's strength is pre-snap reads and adjustments, but McDaniels didn't want Carr changing plays at the line of scrimmage.

Seems like what Carmichael wants from a QB fits really well with what Carr wants as a QB.

From what little I've seen of Carr in interviews, it also seems like his personality would be a good fit with Carmichael's soft-spoken nature. I think the two of them could work well together.
