I wouldn't put much weight into his statement. I'm not saying it can't be honest, but he's not going to come out and say this was my only option.
He wouldn’t have to say anything, if he didn’t like DA, or didn’t think DA would be good to work for, he would’ve just told his agent to talk to other teams and not the Saints instead of telling him to consider the Saints first.
