Derek Carr world tour thread (updated with combine visits)

1. Many people are debating if the Saints or Jets would be the best situation for Carr. No &*&$ thats why we are talking about the Saints and Jets.

2. Winning the South doesnt make you a contender. Right now the NFC South is the worst division I can recall in my liftetime. The best QB in the division as it sits is....Sam Darnold?

8-9 winner of the NFC South for a season or two, we have goals. We are going to mortgage the foreseeable future to maybe win the worst division in NFL history. Denial is real.

Once again, the NFL is not a “Super Bowl ready made roster or tear the whole thing down” league. And I can guarantee you that the Saints organization does not have that sort of doom and gloom, let’s tank mindset.

If you can win your division, you go for it. All it takes is a hot streak, a lucky bounce, a ref call in your favor, or even an unknown rookie RB you picked in round 6 randomly stepping up and playing at an MVP level that year, and suddenly, you’re in a conference title game with a chance.

Hell, what if we had stumbled our way into a home playoff game by winning our division, beat Dallas, and our next opponent suddenly has to play that game without a QB like PHI got the privilege of facing in the NFC title game.

You just never know. Unless your roster is absolutely putrid, you have to give yourself an opportunity and go for it.
