Tonight’s lineup - among 4 people, btw. Cab Franc heavy on 3 of the 4. Consumed from right to left. Usually not a French fan, but the Creation Pomerol was excellent. Plum foreword with a bit of bell pepper, vanilla, leather, with a silky mouthfeel. $49 at Total wine.

The second one, Bougrier, was less complicated, but smooth and drinkable. A surprising French value at $16 (@TW). Smelled like prosciutto, but tasted of Worcestershire, raisin, subtle leather, and clay. Continued to open as it was consumed. Ridiculous value for the price.

The Rosso (a nice Sangiovese) was consumed with gnocchi in marinara with fresh basil and Parmesan. Honestly, it needed it. It was tasty, but needed food paired to balance it.

The Vice Cab Franc is a favorite of mine. It’s Anise heavy but balanced with dry dark berries and mushroom.

Overall, a really nice flight.
