Actually, not that many, unless you're you're at or near the head of an agency. Most (like 95%+) people who work for the federal government don't have that kind of pull...and same for most who work for contractors.

As for trade with China, that's nothing new as that's been going on for decades. We trade with a lot of countries we don't particularly like.
