Derek Carr world tour thread (updated with combine visits)

The allure of playing for NY isn’t the same as it was in 1975 or 1985. Heck, it even doesn’t have the allure it had in 2005.
This is a post streaming era. Everyone gets every game. You see a lot of players make their championship marks and HOF careers in small markets. Payton Manning. Brees. Favre. Rodgers.
Mahomes. Burrow. Allen.
Being in NY or any other big market is no longer a requirement.

And to your point about it being better for a Evangelist to be in the South; is it?
Because I’ve lived here my entire life and there is vast difference between New Orleans and the Bible Belt South. IMO, NOLA and Atlanta are the two cities in the Deep South that aren’t “Bible Belt” towns.
Well, NY does have an allure to many people. Especially, people with money. I’m not talking about the allure of playing in NY, I’m talking about being rich and part of the “who’s who” of the city. I can definitely see his wife wanting to be there. So, happy life, happy wife.

I live in the Bible Belt currently and I grew up in Louisiana. Also, I lived in big cities in California, while traveling all over the U.S. Yes, you are correct when comparing the Bible Belt and the Deep South. I’m not comparing those two. I’m comparing NY to the Deep South. The Bible Belt isn’t at play here. There is a huge Religion gap between NY and the Deep South (Louisiana). It’s night and day
