Derek Carr world tour thread (updated with combine visits)

I know I’m in the minority but I truly feel it will be better for the team if he doesn’t sign here. Really do.

Not for the immediate (next season) but for the long term. Allen will be gone after this next season, Pete, etc. Derek is not the answer and especially not at the price he’s demanding, his age, etc.

That's where I think you and the other ABDA Krewe might be disappointed. I don't think DA's job is in jeopardy. He took over team without a QB, a RB in legal trouble, star WR trying to comeback after 2 disastrous sesson among other things that got derailed due to injuries (the injuries aren't a reason crew might as well not reply, they are a reason and every other team in the NFL can use it except the Saints, GTHOH). With all of that, he still nearly doubled his own single season win total, 4 to 7. Sure he doesn't give the best press conferences per fans standards, but you don't hear players speaking out other that JW and the mouth of the south CJGJ. Now, nobody knows what went down with JW, but the fact that no players have come to his defense says as lot. So now, DA had to roll with the guy he signed to be QB2 as QB1, not ideal. As much as fans like to hate on him, you can't even say he's a bad drafter, since his drafts in Oakland included Khalil Mack and DC. He's been a part of some really good drafts here and the 2022 draft was a good one as well. So, although I can see the frustration and understand it, I don't think he's viewed by players, coaches and the FO the same way. They are going to give him a chance to make this his team and see what happens.

Just curious, what is the going rate for a QB1 in his prime in the open market? One who averages over 66% completion rate with a 70% in his career, a 2+/1 TD/Int ratio, 4K yards/season and 25-30 TDs per season all while being durable, avaliable, athletic and a leader of men?
