I don't doubt the hype. The meteoric rise after mediocre play based on a few measurements sure reminds me of an LSU QB that could throw the ball through the uprights from his knees from the opposite 20 yard line. That kind of arm talent is generational. Plus the size is prototypical for the NFL. Weaknesses are slow release, inability to read a defense, inaccurate passer and poor work ethic. Drafted #1 overall. Every LSU fan, player and coach with just a little sense new exactly how that was going to turn out.
