I think they should have gone from the Infinity Saga to The Mutant Saga and made the phases about the X-Men and FF instead of trying to carry the Avengers stories forward and build on them. They could have built up the cosmic side of things through FF, GotG, Thor, and The Marvels leading to a Secret Wars storyline that felt a lot like X-Men vs. Avengers.

To me, that would have been better than this one leg in the past, one leg in the future approach.

I think the reason is they still want the past to push forward the future. And they want new characters and expansion of the current timeline to flow from the prime timeline. If they want to revisit things in the past or explore the multiverse with the new characters, they can do that. I just think they're trying expand things too far too fast. Maybe slow it down a bit and focus on fans getting to know a new generation of characters. There will be some overlap and some will pass the baton quickly while others might take a while, or not ever relinquish it.

I think Feige isn't finished and he'll adjust as things progress. I do think Disney has him doing too much. Let him focus on the big picture and movies and have someone else head up the small screen stuff.
