When that line came out about them thinking he was a first ballot HOFer, that’s about when I pretty much knew that he and his agent were trying to create a market to get a competitive offer versus the Saints and/or apply pressure.

It was phony. Suddenly adding Carolina late to the process in Indy was also a strong tell for me.
