Mock draft compilation thread
I lied. In my previous post I said that it was my last mock draft, but that was before the rumors started flying. I can’t sit on that. The Saints seem desperate for an edge rusher THIS YEAR. The options at 29 are horrible. So horrible they’re actually considering going away from their prototype. No no ☝🏾 don’t do that.
Last year, I predicted we would trade with the Eagles because they had 3 first round picks. The Saints are like sharks in the water who can smell blood. This year the smell is leading them to the Jets who need to recoup some draft capital after the Rodgers trade. We trade up to 15.
Pick 15 Myles Murphy DE Clemson.
So sad 😭 we had to trade up again. But I rather have MM (does M&M’s make a gold one 🤔 ) than freakin Will McDonald.
We gave up next year’s second from the big horses 🐎 and pick 143 in 2023.
Pick 40 we get DT Keeanu Benton Wisconsin. The best non-undersized three tech in the draft. Well we will play him at 3 tech. The Badgers didn’t and he’ll be a better pro than collegiate for that reason.
Pick 71 we select RB Devon Achane Texas A&M. This could be Tank Bigsby and to be honest I’m not that high on smaller backs so I would prefer Bigsby but who knows 🤷🏾♂️
Pick 115 we select Braeden Daniels OT Utah. Gives us versatility for the offensive line. Maybe he plays inside or if we need to sit Ramczyk or Penning again then he steps up.
Pick 165 Dorian Thompson Robinson QB UCLA It’s just smart to bring in a guy like him who has excellent traits and intelligence.
TRADE
Pick 166 from the Chiefs for our 2 7th rounders and a 5th next year. 😭
Pick 166 Jon Gaines II OG UCLA Another lineman because we were just bad at times last year and Gaines is excellent in run and pass with athletic upside.
