I don't think there's anything magical about it releasing, teams knew well before the tweets surfaced. Sure, it didn't have an impact last season but I think teams are looking for more than just short-term productivity even at the halfback position.
The funny part is that the Saints have take lots of criticism for taking players with an injury history. But, then when they pass on a player with an injury history, they still get criticized.
