What has to improve most for Saints to have a successful 2023 season?

For me it's a tie between better luck with injuries and more explosiveness leading to more points scored on offense.

Believe it or not I felt even though lapses occurred the Defense played well overall. Even without yielding alot of turnovers they had their moments stopping teams when it mattered most minus the Bengals game.
Have to echo these sentiments.

Health is number one.
We have been a mess on the injury side of things the last few seasons. Last year was a really tough pill to swallow because if Latt doesn’t go down, I think we win the South.

I feel like the Payton/Carmichael offense that we got so accustomed to wasn’t so much about explosiveness and more about rhythm and flow.

Carmichael seemed to struggle with getting a “groove” going in a game - but he does have the ability to diagnose a defense and call a good game for the scripted plays. Go back and watch the first series of the Philly game. That was a darn-near perfect series. So I think Pete can do it - I just hope that Carr makes him comfortable enough to come out of his shell.

I strangely optimistic about this season. I honestly can’t remember a season that I’ve been this eager to have start.

I know i’m probably setting myself up for a let down - but for now, I’m pretty hyped!
