Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) Discussion

The physical does not exhaust the actual.

Granted, I’m not a neuroscientist so I’m out of my depth here, but most outside of a reductionist few conclude that consciousness is more than just something the brain does.

I don’t mean to imply that it’s something mystical or woo woo, just that there’s more going on than appears.

The things that make me a little woo woo about the consciousness:

1. People can have 90% of a missing brain, and still function normally.

2. Terminal lucidity that occurs in some Alzheimer's patients.

There is clearly something more then just a neural network. I'm not saying it's spiritual at all, but these instances point towards a "secret sauce".
