Peacock getting an NFL playoff game

Yes, I do realize that there are more options to being able to tune in to NFL games. But I am already paying more than I can afford to watch TV. I'm certainly not going to add an extra service just so that I won't miss every Saints game. I truly miss the days when commercial television allowed me to sit in my living room each Sunday at noon and watch Saints football. Back in the day it was CBS if it was an NFC game, and NBC if we had an AFC team in town.

Yep... I'm old. :(

Sure, I remember those days, too. Like I said, great if you were a fan of the in-market team. Otherwise, you were stuck with the limited options, usually three games (two playing at the same time) on Sunday and the MNF broadcast. Now, it's getting easier for fans to watch any game they want, wherever they are.

For the most part, you should still be able to watch the Saints in-market on Sundays. Occasionally, if you don't have cable or streaming platforms, you might have to go somewhere else to catch the game if you don't want to miss it. Years ago, that wasn't an option for a lot of people. If you were an out-of-market Saints fan, you probably weren't watching the game anywhere. At least now, more people than ever, have that opportunity.

I'd prefer it all to be free but that's never really been the case. A very limited portion of something was available for free and you were happy with that or you weren't. I also like sitting in my living room and watching the Saints every week and that wouldn't be possible for me in the old OTA three network days.
