Stopped off at the local tavern for a few at lunch today...
Had to take the edge off after we put down our dog earlier, her name was Breesy and she was a rescue from Louisiana post Katrina. She and her litter mates were to be euthanized but the local rescue wagon went down to get them and we adopted her at 8 weeks old. She was some sort of Catahoula/boxer/whippet mix. A very unique looking dog and amazing family companion--even if she was as stubborn as the day was long! 2nd time in the past year we've had to do this, and it wasn't any easier...even if it was necessary/the right thing to do.
Gonna be a very foreign feeling to not have a dog in the house for the first time in 16 years!
