I disagree, I have one about 10 minutes away (Shallotte NC), their chicken tender salad is very good, the fries are the same style (crinkly cut) but are much thicker than Canes, they also have a ton of different sauces (none of which I've tried yet)....maybe not all Z's are the same?

If by Lafreniere you mean Downs Rd by the entrance of the park that is the one near my folks former home, the chicken there is outstanding....
