Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

I started out the evening with a re-watch of the season one finale as a lead-in to the season two premiere. Very much enjoyed this first episode. This show gives me different feelings (all good ones) than Picard season three did, though. I'm glad to have some new episodes to look forward to each week now.

- I still mourn the loss of Hemmer, but Pelia might be a rather entertaining replacement. Carol Kane just killed it in this episode.
- Jess Bush makes my eyes feel good. She is just gorgeous.
- This version of Spock is a somewhat unusual Vulcan, especially so in this episode. Not sure how I feel about that right now, though.

- I'm digging what they are doing with Spock. TOS Spock had many "human" moments where he's struggling with his identity as well, so it fits with what they've been doing. His strict discipline didn't really set in until the movies.

- For me, it's Christina Chong!
