usama young vs. the draft

No need to start another thread. Check out the quote of one of the recent articles at the SR homepage. Here's the quote:

"As far as the returning players, Young figures to push David hard for the starting spot and it wouldn't be surprising if he was the projected starter going into fall."

Really?

If that's truly the case, then either...

a) the Saints did themselves NO favors by leaving Usama on the sidelines as much as they did in '07

b) our defensive coordinator as good (or bad) a talent evaluator as Rick Venturi,

c) both a & b ---or,

d) this article missed the mark big time

I think it's more complicated than any of the above choices. Overall, I believe Usama Young will be a fierce competitor for one of our starting corner positions (...Jason David's salary and all)!
