I've looked further at Ukrinform and they use their stock photos for their article titles over and over. This is the first time they used this one, but that might be that they used their last "Kalibr" missile photo until they plumb wore it out.

So what I imagine will happen is someone will either tell them that they're using an American Harpoon missile photo instead of a "Kalibr" stock photo, or they will use it over and over again as their new standard "Kalibr" missile stock photo.

I notice that unlike a Harpoon which is launched against another ship and flies a trajectory more like a cannon shell, that the old photo shows a missile which launches straight up the way longer range missiles do.




You seem to know the pedigree of that photo better than me. Do you want to be the one who tells them? News wise they are a pretty good group. They are kind of like the Ukrainian Associated Press wire service. Or the Ukrainian BBC.
