I don't know that I would call Baun and Trautman busts.

Trautman filled the Josh Hill / David Thomas role perfect. The problem is everyone is expecting any TE on the field to be Jimmy Graham or Jeremy Shockey, thats not his role.

Baun hasnt been DD or Werner, but again thats not his role. Coming out of the draft Baun was noted for his physical pass rushing ability, yet we keep trying to make him a traditional LB.

I think the Trautman bust label is mostly related to us trading up to get him, if we had just selected him without a trade then he might not be criticized as much.

Then again, TQS gets hammered for not becoming a all pro receiver after being selected late in the third, so Trautman may have never had a chance.
