Tomlin is close to a 🔒. His win percentage is just above Payton, but has 2 SB appearances and never had a losing season. Payton is close to a :unsure:. The 1 year suspension puts him at the bottom of the (y) and means he needs a 2nd SB appearance and maybe win to be a 🔒. Payton's time with Denver could hurt his HoF chances. If Wilson doesn't perform, then Carroll with 2 SB appearances is well ahead of Payton.

Tomlin is a lock. He’s one of three Steelers coaches in the past fifty years. And each has one a championship.
I said this earlier, but the closer Payton gets to 200 wins, the more likely he gets in. Maybe getting to 180 or 190 is a lock.
Only 1 coach has that many wins and isn’t in the Hall. Marty S. And he doesn’t have a championship.
