The Starlink uses X, Ka, K, Ku, and V bands.

The frequency band used from the satellite to the ground is the Ku and V bands. One would have to jamb both, and jamming the down-link would not be practical. The Jamming energy would have to be focused on the individual satellites, be reflected off the satellites, and then arrive back on Earth with enough energy to drown out the Starlink transmissions going the same direction. There are a horde of those satellites, it would be very hard to focus on all of them in that area even if the power were available for doing so.

Gateway to the Internet uses 4 bands, one of which is Ku, but jamming them is not applicable because those links can be routed completely away from Ukraine to other countries. One Starlink satellite can communicate with others in space to transfer that data around the globe.

Where jamming would be somewhat practical, but difficult to do would be to drown out the up-link data streams from Ukraine into space. The Starlink uses three bands to do that, but only one of them is the Ku band, the other two are V band transmissions. The Ku band would be used the least because it is the one most affected by water vapor in the atmosphere. If that Ku band were to be drowned out it would be similar to a rainy day and the satellites would just shift to the two V bands.

Suppose they did jamb those up-link transmissions. Jamming a focused beam which goes up is difficult because one has to pump out a lot of power to bleed across the ground lobes, whereupon it has to be reflected upward by the users own Starlink antenna to drown out the signal which is focused upward from that same antenna.

There's an easy solution to that which would involve a simple shield being set around the ground Starlink antennas. An open top cardboard box that a washing machine comes in being covered with aluminium foil, or painted with aluminium paint around the sides which would conduct electricity across it's surface would suffice to shield those antennas from the jamming transmitters.

Then we get to the subject of Harm anti radiation missiles. The Ukrainians have then, and any powerful jamming transmitters close enough to the Ukrainian users to matter, would be very easy for the missiles to seek out and destroy. They would be in range of the missiles.

I put this jamming of the Starlink system down as fiction. I'm not going to waste my time being concerned.
