I personally am more concerned about the OL than who’s calling the plays. I think people are putting way too much on the play calling. In the end it’s about execution and the OL just hasn’t done well since Drew left.

Conservative play calling can be a DA request because defensive head coaches want to win with their defense unless they have an out of this world QB like Mahomes.

Biggest problem with the OL has been injuries so first have to hope that we get better luck in that regard, and that depth is improved for when it is necessary. Marrone is highly regarded so counting on him to get it figured out.

There's a synergy that every team hopes to establish and build on, so I wouldn't dismiss the possibility of improvements at other positions helping the OL and vice versa.
