Not really we have seen over the years guys signing very late and playing starter snaps. He may have started looking around now to get an idea of what he is worth, see how many teams are interested then taking his time to choose for the reason of avoiding camp and if by some chance an injury to a starter that plays his spot happens then his value goes up

I don’t think Barr immediately walks into starting SLB over Baun/Jackson or main situational blitzer right away without any camp to get on the same page with his unit like other vets might have became starters just before Week 1 in the past though. Especially on vet minimum salary in all likelihood. He’s mainly vet depth for Demario’s injury and would share snaps at those positions while he has potential to increase his role in the short term.
