Jake Haener

The kid has the “it” feel to him in interviews. He doesn’t carry himself like a rookie and it doesn’t seem like the team responds to him like a rookie. They vibe with Jake. DA was spot on about his moxie. To go from an abysmal quarter of play to engineering that scoring drive was big for someone who’s never played at this level. Many of the stunted drives likely keep moving with the first or even the second string. His supporting cast was mostly terrible.

Haener absolutely played the best series I recall of any drafted QB we’ve had in the past 10 years. I’m not saying he’s the heir apparent, but it seems he’s certainly got legit NFL intangibles. That matters. I want to see him with better talent around him in the coming games. Let’s get a better feel of what he can really do.
