That was written by Lance Zierlein who has never been a pro scout , coach or player. I love how there are so many so-called experts putting out an opinion that don't have the resume's to back it up. Almost all the scout and Ron Curry that coached him at the senior bowl said Jake has a a very quick release, I watched him more than a few times look off the defender, so the gazes at target too long is BS. Also in every scouting report Jake was praised for his accuracy so the "Needs to be much more consistent with ball placement is wrong as wellFair enough, weak may have been the wrong word, but I think his scouting report was on display during the game, particularly the interception.
I'm just not buying the hype on Haener, who more or less has been crowned as the clear heir apparent for Carr based on training camp reports. A below-average release coupled with below-average arm strength is going to put a hard ceiling on his NFL future, even if he can quickly ID an open receiver.
