Tropical Storm remnants expected to hit SoCal Sunday (Update: Game will go as scheduled)

Most of us are from Louisiana. I've lived in SoCal and Louisiana over the last 30 years. This is the first time I've ever seen this on the West Coast.
I'm from Lake Charles, so I know this won't be anywhere near the wind and tornado impact that a hurricane is. It's all that rain all at once that LA does not have the infrastructure to handle. Outages of all kinds could be disruptive. Landslides and flash floods in the hills and mountains can be life threatening, especially in burn areas.

I've never once had to consider moving stuff in my garage higher so it won't get flood damaged. That's a possibility now. I'm on the second floor, so the worst case scenario for me is that my apartment building gets a couple of feet of flooding into the ground floor, so I'll have to move out until they do repairs and mold abatement or the landlords just take a loss and demolish the building. I'm in a rent controlled apartment. If they demolish and rebuild, my rent would sky rocket to amount I couldn't afford or find anywhere else in LA. Some people have golden handcuffs, I've got a golden jail cell.

I'm not concerned about injury or dying. I am concerned about getting completely uprooted with not many options and no good ones.
