Never thought it was possible for a DE to reveal himself as a possible bust so soon.
That being said, I’m a man that absolutely hated the DE we picked in round 1 of the 2011 draft; I thought he was slow, lacked burst, lacked great moves, etc., and after seeing him as a virtual non-factor as a pass rusher despite starting all 16 games, I thought my beliefs were confirmed.
12 years later, and he’s arguably the greatest Saints defender of all-time.
Let’s be patient and give Foskey more than a couple of preseason games to learn his job. It’s easy to forget sometimes that we are asking 20-22 year old kids to go play a game with grown men, and a game we are all used to watching (mostly) grown men play. Some guys take a bit longer than others to adjust to their new reality.
