Outside of a few rough years 96-99 and 2005 the Saints have always fielded a team that won at least 7 games since 87. Not too many teams can say that.

It's the lack of postseason success outside of the Superbowl in 2009, that makes N.O seem less good than they actually have been.

The first 20 years of the franchise didn't do us any favors in making us look respectable. Until the Mora years, the Saints were the very definition of 'laughingstock' to the rest of the league and the fans. With little exception, it's best just to just imagine that the Saints didn't begin until 1987. :hihi:
