Jets have no punter on the roster right now. I'd have to imagine that they have a handshake deal in place for him to return. He doensn't have to clear waivers so it's not like a team can claim him.
These procedural cuts already have new contracts signed. Just wait for roster moves to happen to submit them to the league office. I guess you could technically steal him... pls do it
