Are you willing to get the Covid vaccine when offered?

So it went from no one said that to, yeah he's "just the President, that doesnt count."
I'm saying no one who is credible from the CDC and FDA stated that the vaccine would keep you from getting the virus. If they did, they were wrong and the agency would debunk or walk that back. Certainly no one there has said it in a couple of years at least.
Again just a quick search while getting the kids ready for school.

This was from the head of the CDC, Dr. Rochelle Walensky.
“Our data from the CDC today suggests that vaccinated people do not carry the virus, don’t get sick,” Walensky told MSNBC's Rachel Maddow on Monday. “And that it’s not just in the clinical trials, it’s also in real-world data.”
Source? Actually disregard that.

I found this article with context that shows several of her quotes contradicting the CDC's own guidance. Each time, the CDC had to walk back or correct her statements. Some people mean well, but a basic and fundamental understanding of the history of vaccines would know that a vaccine doesn't necessarily keep you from getting a given disease in all cases. And as with any novel virus, there's a learning curve in how to prevent or mitigate spread and treat the disease based on severity and length of infection. There's nothing simple about epidemiology and anyone trying to boil it down to some simple solution is doing the public a disservice.
