Are you willing to get the Covid vaccine when offered?

Just looked further. Yes the next day the cdc did walk back what she said. So you are saying we shouldn't hold our leaders responsible for their words?
Isn't walking back and correcting their statements holding them accountable? I already said in previous posts that if they made inaccurate statements, they're wrong. I stand by what i said. It's not moving anything.
Also yall asked for examples saying "show me where they went on TV" or "no one ever said that". So I posted a comment from our President.
The President is a terrible source. Posting what he said in terms of vaccinations and Covid is pointless. I mean we had comments of disinfectants, injections and UV light treatments from another President, so....
Then the posts were "yeah but show me where a credible source from the CDC said it" apparently our President is a credible source.
No, he's not.
So I posted where the HEAD of the CDC came on TV and said it. Now it's oh well all that was back track the next day or two. Quit moving the goal posts.
No goal post moving here. The director of the CDC made inaccurate statements and her pwn agency corrected her. And regardless, the quotes you're using are dated. You won't find anything recent like that since we all know more now than we did then.
My kids, my wife and myself are vaccinated with the standard vaccinations we should have at our current marks. My 14 yo daughter has everything but the second round of 1. My wife knows better on which that is, something about it can cause cervical or ovarian cancer. Again not in my wheel house so I leave it to them and their doc to figure it out. My son is 10 and has all he should have at this age.
Good. :9:
The only shots we don't get are the flu shot. I am laid up for a week every time I have gotten it. When I dont I make it through the year just fine.
Fair enough. I don't do flu shots either. But my parents are higher risk, so they do the flu shots. I might get to that point eventually as well.
I am not anti Vax. Just anti covid Vax till I know more.
We know far more now than a year or 24 months ago, but even then, we knew a lot about how the vaccines worked for a decade prior. The vaccines aren't as new as you think.
It was forced on workers as those that didn't want it were getting laid off in government and some private sectors.
Isn't that how free enterprise works? If businesses want to protect their companies and the people that interact with them, they're going to rely on public policy guidelines. There were some local and state regulations on masking and other requirements, but none of that was federally mandated.
They also made life a birch for those that didn't want it. Tried to make us feel like lepers to society.
There's a reason for that.
Common statements were made like "You're killing someone's grandma"..
Well, it's happened thousands of times across the country. Yes, someone knowing they were infected exposed their family members who died from it. It does happen. So it can be true.
Even now in this thread after it has been proven the vaccine wasn't as effective as previously thought, people are still getting bashed.
The vaccine is actually very effective in reducing severity of the disease and deaths from Covid post-vax are exceedingly rare. So while in some respects it's not nearly as effective at prevention as previously thought, it's still very effective in meaningful ways.
