Payton Turner has turf toe; placed on IR 9/13 (week to week as of 12/8 per Underhill)

Well, I don't think that it was inevitable that he got injured again and if he did, that it was something requiring surgery, and in the first game. Possible certainly, probable perhaps, but absolutely certain, no - otherwise why wasn't he just cut a couple of weeks ago?

And while your argument has a perverse logic, I'm not comfortable with the notion that it's good that Turner got injured because, now that he's injured, we don't have to bother with him anymore and worry about him getting injured - and don't worry, we have a guy who's not injured but isn't as good or ready to produce right now and may never even develop.
While inevitably the logic may occur that in this stratosphere a player that succumbs to injuries every year has a chance to be injured again. So, in reality of the situation, someone else has to be trained to do the job. So, Foskey getting reps helps the team rather than hurting it. Perverse logic is not applied here because I did not say I wanted Turner hurt, but rather think Foskey could use some reps. Sometimes you have to notice a trend and in Turners instance, he has been hurt every time he touches the field.
